QOTW # 2 (Done in class Oct. 7th/8th) - What does it take to become a great musician? Name three key ingredients. Which one do you think is the most important and why?

QOTW # 3 - Name a period of time from the past in which you would have enjoyed being a musician. Explain why you chose that time period. What would your music have been like? (due FRI. 10/16)

QOTW # 4 - Done in class Oct. 20/21 - How is playing on a sport team like participating in a choir, band, or orchestra?

QOTW #5 - Think about scary movies you have seen. Music often helps to make scary scenes even more frightening. What elements of music can make it sound scary? What music sounds the most frightening to you? (due FRI. 10/30)

MEN

white dress shirt (button-down, long or short sleeved)

long, black, plain colored tie or bow tie

black dress slacks

black socks

black dress shoes

 

WOMEN

plain white blouse

plain black skirt (below kneee-length)

Plain nylons (no socks, colored stockings)

black dress shoes (closed toe- no sandals)

no excessive hair ornaments or jewelry

 

NORSEMAN HONOR CHOIR, CONCERT CHOIR, and SENIOR GIRLS will wear their assigned robes

TO BE WORN UNDERNEATH ROBE...

MEN

All singers remember... practice the following skills daily-

Practice all major scales, major and minor triads, and chromatic scale using the Curwen Hand Signals (Solfege).

Practice sight-singing sheets and sight-reading your music.

Practice counting and clapping your part in each song as well as the rhythm sheets handed out in class.

Keep singing!
