THE OUTSIDE READING GENRE FOR SEPTEMBER IS NON-FICTION. EACH STUDENT SHOULD CHOOSE A BOOK THAT IS APPROPRIATE FOR 8TH GRADE AND HIS OR HER READING LEVEL. EACH STUDENT SHOULD BE READING TWO HOURS A WEEK OR A HALF HOUR MONDAY THROUGH THURSDAY NIGHTS.

LATE WORK POLICY

1. DAILY ASSIGNMENTS:

No late daily work/homework will be accepted. If you are absent, please see your teachers the day you return to school to get the assignment.

2. MAJOR ASSIGNMENTS:

  • If your work is one class day late, your grade will be lowered one full grade.
  • If your work is two class days late, the highest grade you can earn is a D.
  • If your work is three class days late, your grade will be an automatic 50% (F).
  • After three class days, your grade will be a Zero.

3. QUIZZES/TESTS:

If you are absent for a quiz/test, you have two class days to make it up.
